You should disable the Origin in-game overlay through your Origin settings.
I often lose keyboard and/or mouse controls in Origin (EA) games. If possible, try to switch your game's graphics API to DirectX 11 or OpenGL, as ReShade's support for DirectX 12 and Vulkan is still experimental. My game is crashing immediately after startup. Feel free to run a virus scan if you are unsure. I can guarantee that using the application is completely safe. This however does not mean that the application is dangerous in any form. Certificates are very expensive and I can't afford one.
The application is flagged by Smart Screen, because it isn't signed with a certificate. The ReShade Manager application is marked as harmful software by Windows Smart Screen.
